Overall a good read with a really slow burn. It's a bit long but looking back I can't say that any parts were unnecessary because there was more at stake than your average shifter novel. I enjoyed this read and it sucked me in and drew me away from other books because I just had to know how it was going to play out. There was also a lot of vindication that satisfied my desire for revenge, which is a bit scary but hey I'm under no illusions about that part of my personality. Would recommend and will read more for this author.

Great book! Fully developed plot and characters. This was well thought out. I recommended it to my mother, even! Great substance.

I adore books by Jae: interesting, complex characters, thought out plots and with books in many different genres, something for every taste. What's not to love? This one is a particular favourite.

3.5 stars - interesting take on shifters and how their society might work

It was a good read in that I wanted to know how the story line got wrapped up. There was some really good action and I cared what happened to everyone in the story.

I was not really feeling the romance. It was super duper slow burn which I am normally into, but it just never jelled for me.

I also had a hard time picturing a 400 lb woman in my head. I looked up 6 ft+ female bodybuilders to try and get something going in my brain but I dunno, it was hard. Every time they interacted, I just keep trying to figure out how that looked and I tossed my own dumb self out the story.

If the story line sounds interesting to you, it is totally worth reading. Enjoy!
