If bully romance is not your thing, this book isn’t for you. The book definitely lives up to its name of Brutal Boys. If you thought the Heirs in Zodiac Academy were bad, they’re these guys’ little brothers in comparison. I enjoy a good bully romance, so I ate that shit up! It was even sad at parts. I can’t wait to see the character development in these assbaguettes. It’s definitely not in this book. But at the end, there is shining hope. Caroline and Susanne are the mf QUEENS at causing mayhem in the last 10% of their books, leaving cliffhangers unable to go without knowing. So, here I am on 3 hours of sleep at 6:50am starting Kings of Lockdown
I didn't think I could love a character more than Tory Vega, then I met Tatum.

Great start to a bully romance. This writing duo always starts strong. Hopefully, the rest of the series stays on point, and the rest are as enjoyable as rhis one.

Well damn! Talk about a hell of a way to start a series! A virulent pandemic sweeping the globe, an elitist academy, hidden agendas and legends of old twisted all together to form a fantastic story of survival. Tatum Rivers, daughter of doomsday pepper virologist Donovan Rivers, thought her hardest challenge to date was facing down a solid year in one place - Everlake Preparatory Academy - while her father left to continue his research and fight against the Hades Virus spreading across the globe. But she had no way to know the twisted ties woven into the halls she now calls home, or how quickly those barbed ties would bind as she tries to survive The Night Keepers.
Kings of Quarantine is more than your usual dark bully romance. It takes it to the next level of dark.
Let's start with my favorite character, Monroe, the PE teacher and coach of the football team. He's a hot bad boy who is the only one that the Night Keepers listen to. He's there for a reason, to bring down the Memphis family. My next favorite character is Kyan, the tattooed adrenaline junkie who needs a good fight as much as he needs to breath. He's also got a thing for Tatum, but can she handle the monster in him? Then we have Blake, who is not as dark but still harbors a monster in him because his mother died from the virus. He felt something for Tatum from the beginning, until he got the phone call from his dad telling him just who she really was. Saint, the self proclaimed king of Everlake Prep is the darkest monster of them all. Always in his perfect clothes without a wrinkle and his rules, he holds his monster in by having a routine. Tatum is the baddest of them all, because no matter how they try to break her... she doesn't fall. She comes back fighting harder than before.

Saint, Kyan and Blake better pay for the stunts they pulled throughout the book - especially the one with the letters. I woulda killed them if I were Tatum honestly. But here's to redemption for these three and drooling over Daddy Monroe ahahshshhsjk
Again these are two new to me authors and I've heard nothing but great things about this series. It didn't disappoint either. I love all the characters and I love Tatum's attitude and how she fights back with The Night Keeper's. I can't wait to carry on with book #2 and see what happens!
5 stars for Kings of Quarantine by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. This is book one in the Brutal Boys of Everylake Prep series. So first I will start by saying this book is extremely dark. I found this book captivating. I was addicted from the first page. This is a reverse harem with some extreme dark parts that could trigger some. I won’t lie I hated Saint, Kyan, and Blake in this book. I am hoping it changes in future books. These three are known as The Night Keepers and now Tatum is their slave. A virus is rampant and it seems Tatum’s dad is responsible for it being out in the world. Bring in book two.
