Truly i cannot see any way that I will end up liking Saint. Kyan and Nash have my heart but Saint and Blake......not so much!

Honestly this book was so insane I can’t even really explain to you all but I’m going to try.
Picture a bunch of rich 17-18 year olds (my brain eventually just ages them all up to be in their 20s idk) on a complete power trip in a private, secluded boarding school that they’ve claimed as their own to rule over despite the teachers and faculty. Because they can pay off anyone that gets in their way. And 3 of the ruling assholes claim to have embodied the Night Keeper spirits of native culture (yes the appropriation was so completely unwarranted and unnecessary, this is only one piece of the puzzle that made this book absolutely ridiculous) to make them even more “scary” and powerful.
There is also the Hades virus outbreak which is basically the coronavirus (and this storyline honestly was interesting, they should’ve just focused on this and the bullying, pretentious kings and skipped the whole cultural appropriation bit altogether). So the kids and faculty are all holed up in their little place of quarantine.
Tatum is our FMC who I actually enjoyed - she was the perfect amount of badass. feminine power. She has had a very isolated childhood with her father as they moved around quite a bit with his career. Until he signs her up for this boarding school in her senior year. The 3 kings immediately are taken with her, and she unfortunately becomes the object of their rage and torment.
The bullying in this was honestly not enjoyable. Really pushed the limits for me, I don’t think I would read a bully romance that was worse than this. They literally drown her at one point, they starve her, they film her having sex without her knowledge. L O L IT WAS STRAIGHT UP NOT A GOOD TIME. And honestly the more I think about it, I really shouldn’t be rating this book high at all in terms of plot/writing.
So why the 3.5 stars you ask?
Because Caroline and Susanne have still managed to make me completely addicted. Super rude of them. I absolutely need to find out what happens. Because this shit was insanity (and not necessarily in a good way, but in a way that I couldn’t put it down?)
2 of the love interests are actually very HOT and totally redeemable. 2 of them I completely despise and hate and am having a hard time picturing how I’ll ever root for them because the things they do are so disgusting and horrible. I will keep you all posted in this miserable journey.

Me encanta Tatum, es una protagonista fuerte y a pesar de todo lo que le han hecho, sigue de pie. De los chicos, el único que me gusta es Monroe, sé que es mayor que ella, pero es el único que la ha tratado decentemente. Respecto a los otros tres, el que menos me cae mal es Kyan, pero ODIO a Blake y a Saint, que personajes tan despreciables, no sé cómo me llegarán a gustar en los siguientes libros.
Sobre la historia, me parece interesante leer algo que esté basado en el covid y siento que leerlo en esa época, me hubiera gustado más.
Para ser el primer libro de la saga, siento que le faltó más emoción, pienso leer los siguientes libros y espero que me gusten más que este.
