The beginning of this book was a pretty straightforward plot that I was enjoying, with characters a little archetypal for romantasy but I still liked them, but then the story totally went somewhere I never predicted, and every character went so much deeper, and I loved it! The longer the story went on, the more I became invested and excited and the momentum kept moving faster towards the ending until I turned the page and was shocked that it was the epilogue! I highly, highly recommend for any fans of ACOTAR or other romantasy!!

DNF’d the audiobook at 58% when the male narrator took over. I feel really bad saying this, but his voice was too breathy, I couldn’t concentrate on what he was saying. 
The story itself wasn’t anything special, just okay, nonetheless I still wanted to finish it. I might pick up the ebook in the future so I can just read it instead since I hate DNF’ing a book.

Totally unique and a fantastic fantasy world! I really enjoyed the unique magic system and he character dynamics the author navigates through. Well written and paced and definitely a journey worth taking, can't wait to read the next 2!
