This is such a cute rom com! I am here for it, I read the book before the movie and I am so happy I did. If you know me personally I love an enemies to lovers storyline. What a better way than to have an American and a Brit both in political positions!
The banter, letters, miscommunication, vulnerability is just ugh I ate it up! I love seeing stories like these play out. This was a quick read, i recommend getting the extended book as you have Henry’s POV and it was chefs kiss!

Really wanted to love it, but I think this author likes to write lgbtq+ caricatures instead of characters — saw someone else use that and I think it’s perfect. It’s all so bulletproof and fixable, and everything has a layer of shine and positivity on it that feels disingenuous.
I was dreading whenever the emails were going to be leaked, because hello, it’s a book with presidency and racy personal emails. That was rough. Honestly all the political parts were rough for me, I am so tired of politics and presidents. It was nice to dream for a minute about a Madame President but in the end it just makes me more sad. “But her emails!!”
I waited a long time to read this one (library girlies where we at) and ended up reading the authors next book before this one. I was hoping it would somehow be different but again, caricatures instead of characters. One thing this author does well is tie things together in the end. Foreshadowing and hidden agendas, like Luna, are fun surprises.
Honestly I don’t think I’ll read another of her books for a while. I’m glad everyone is loving it and I’m glad we’re getting more lgbtq+ characters. Hope to see more!

This is officially on my favorites list. IT WAS SO GOOD. I read it on my laptop and normally I hate reading digitally but oh my god this was so good it didn't matter. I binged it within 24 hours. GO READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW. Omw to force my friends to read this book hehehe

I know I am late to the party here but OH MY GOD I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. I was laughing out loud, sobbing, and smiling like an idiot throughout the entirety.
It's extremely rare for me to read a book within 24 hours, no matter how much I'm enjoying it. But I simply could not stop reading this. When I walked away from it, I was still thinking about it. I know this one is going to stick with me for a long time and be a forever favorite.

finally caved in and read this after people telling me to forever! i really enjoyed the trip we went on with alex and henry, they’re written very realistic even in this highly fictional scenario. the two feel like living human beings which makes the romance way more fun! once i was into it, i couldn’t put the book down so it’s definitely a new one i love! cant wait to see the book come to life on film :)
