This was okay to me. I didn't fall in love with the characters, which is pretty important for my enjoyment. My favorite characters were probably the FMC's brother and his partner. I did enjoy the family dynamics. The romance was not my favorite. I did think that the world was interesting, but I would've liked more of the gods and other fantastical elements. I don't regret reading this, but I will definitely not be continuing on with book two.

I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the two main characters and the banter between them was just cringey to me. I also felt like the world was not fleshed out and the ending left a lot to be desired when it came to world building and plot. The ending was soooo rushed.

A lovely rom-com in a fantasy-esque setting. It took me a little bit to wrap my brain around the world in the world-building, but once there it all came together nicely, with loveable characters in a cozy, medium stakes novel that I'm glad I put on my list!
