i really liked this. i love a good heist book. basically the book has ross participate in the thieves gambit to save her mom and it was just a whirlwind book. i liked getting to know the other people participating in the quest, like noelia and devroe. i'm currently reading the second book.

Yllätyin siitä, kuinka paljon pidin kirjasta. Se oli vauhdikas, omalaatuinen ja sisälsi hauskan hahmokaartin! Odotan innolla, että pääsen jatkamaan sarjaa :D
5 tähteä en kuitenkaan antanut sille, koska olisin toivonut enemmän vinkkejä joihinkin juonenkäänteisiin, koska osa tuntui tulevan vähän puun takaa. Toisena olisi kiva ollut tutustua lisää sivuhahmoihin, koska he kaikki vaikuttivat mielenkiintoisilta hahmoilta! Muuten kirja ylitti odotukseni, mitkä olivat näemmä liian matalalla...

This really reminded me of the Teen Killers series. I loved how fast paced it was, wondering how the young thieves would get themselves out of each situation. Although some situations were far-fetched and required serious suspension of disbelief, I still enjoyed it all the same.
From the beginning, I never liked Ross' mom and I didn't really want her to be saved. The reveal in the end was not at all shocking. It just proved how rotten she was on the inside.
The romance ... was the weakest part of this. It was very lacklustre and I couldn't feel any connection between Ross and Devroe. The supposed romantic scenes took me out of the story and had me skipping forward for more action packed scenes. I was also not shocked about the big reveal on Devroe's end. There was quite a bit of foreshadowing.
I'm excited to get into the next book and see how the story unfolds.
