Amazing. Simply, marvellously, amazing. This book, well, it is a true classic. More then that. It is a marvel. The writing, the story, the fun, even the poems, which I am generally not to fond of.

Well, let there be a bit more information. When I took this book of the shelf, I thought "Well, I'm going to read the first few pages, to see if I should read it to my little sister. Then, I got so engrossed into Caroll's writing, that I read it all in one or two days. All the things in this are amazing, be it the poem
"Jabberwocky" the brothers Twedeldum and Tweedeldee nonsense of the mad tea party, or the simple childishness of Alice's reflections. Then there is the sequel, Through the looking glass. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. All Hail Lewis Carroll!

PS: I am currently reading this to my little sister and she loves it.

This book is like a fever dream. Hard to imagine it is a children's story, if I had read this as a child I would have been so bored lol. There are so many characters I absolutely adore - the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit (Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum which to my dismay do not make an appearance in this book :(. But this book just flowed so weirdly. Its known for being a strange book, but I didn't find it to be as strange as people say, but maybe thats because I liked weird books. I dare to say that the 1951 Disney animated adaptation is better. I think it does a much better job at conveying the story to the audience and getting rid of the fluff unrelated to the story - and itll forever be one of my most beloved movies, I'm just sad the book didn't live up to the same expectation.
description

Quotes I liked:
-'Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.'
-'If you knew time as well as I do, said the Hatter, you wouldn't talk about wasting it'
-'but it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.'
