I admire authors who manage to squeeze in a short story enough world description, character background and story line to leave the reader eager to know more and read on. The story is entirely written from Finn POV, and it would be fun if the author wrote another short story only from Sam POV because it is clear that Finn misunderstood Sam's intentions, and as a reader I wanted to shout out to Finn to stop playing dumb!
Heat level: low
Ending: not even HFN, more like a cliffhanger, in the sense that now the basis for a great love story are outlined, please show us how it will blossom.

A cute set up, where a volunteer at a homeless shelter gives his shoes to a client at the shelter and then runs into his crush looking all disheveled and said crush ends up thinks HE’S homeless. It is actually handled quite sensitively all around.

This was a very short story, but very cute. Finn volunteers at the homeless shelter and is always running around getting food and things the shelter needs. After giving his shoes to one of the customers of the shelter, he goes to the store to buy some quick groceries. He sees his crush there, and they have a lovely chat. Sam and Finn connect a bit in the pages, and they are very sweet. I liked Sam as a character and thought he had a good heart. Finn, too, really. Overall sweet and cute story.
