This was such a cute story with great characters!! The author did really well making me want to read the books the character authors were writing too. My only dislike was I felt the story jumped away a bit on some things too quickly. It was a  easy and nice read. I enjoyed the ending and loved to hear Gus open up about his long time feelings for January and his current thoughts

.25 for the miscommunication and another .25 for not being able to name either of their private parts. the synonyms kinda bothered me.
but, overall, the premise was very well executed, as promised. i did have high hopes going into this and it did not disappoint. i bawled my eyes out towards the end. I loved, i haven’t read a romance book in a while and this was perfect.

A solid happy/grumpy trope romance novel — it incorporates real-life topics like divorce, grief, and loss, making it a more realistic romance novel rather than a happily ever after/everything is perfect vibe

This is the second Emily Henry book to make me cry because the characters and struggles seem so real. Your heart breaks when theirs do from the achingly honest writing. I loved it.

It took me a while to finish the book, mainly because I didn't find it very interesting. I had to read about 50 % of thr book to really care about what was going on. The topic in the book were pretty dark and depressing but thing definitely picked up after 50% of the book.

I enjoyed this book, and it got me stating up til 1am to finish it! Gus and January are great characters
I just felt like it was very similar to Book Lovers Nora and Charlie, enemies (or rivals) to lovers with some kind of deal or bet that throws them together. This may just be a theme in Emily Henry's writing, so it's not a problem, just interesting. I loved how whilst the romance was obvious and the main driving force, the book bet goes into some pretty dark and serious places.
Big fan of this book, and will probably read again
