this book blew me away, it was a stunning mixture of a fantasy love life and cruel reality. it handles subjects such as grief, divorce, cheating, cancer and even dives into the world of cults. this book had me hooked the entire time and being able to read it on the beach added bounds points of course. i HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone, even if they’re not the romance type.

I adored Beach Read. I usually don't read romance books that sound kind of corny, and this had that description whenever I heard about it on TikTok and then picked it up at B&N. I cast my judgements aside, however, for the sake of branching out and trying new things. I am so glad that I did. This wasn't the usual dark, emotional, profound romance that I'm usually drawn to, yet I couldn't put it down all the same. Augustus and January were a captivating duo that I found myself relating to more than anything else. Often times that is what makes a good book. Emily Henry delivered more than I expected her to. I will most definitely be reading more from her.

i think i fell in love with gus a little too while reading. this book was a really cute and sweet story, sometimes i had a hard time picking it up but once i was reading i couldn’t put it down.

Beautifully written about grief and disappointment. Characters are well-developed and written. HOWEVER--DO NOT LISTEN out loud with other people because your cheeks will flush from the steam coming out of the speakers! This happened to me accidentally when I was separating laundry the other day and my husband walked in! All I could say was "OH MY!"
