A lighthearted romance, that had surprisingly more depth than I would have expected. While the characters aren’t overly developed, the way their backstories influence who they are in the book is clearly depicted. The author also captures a bit of the complexities of being human, and having multiple and sometimes conflicting emotions at once.

I enjoyed the book until the ending. I felt like the ending was kind of a bummer.

I also just couldn’t get past the dad cheating on his dying wife. I also really felt like the characters were so broken and messed up that they weren’t going to last for very long past getting together.
