A MASTERPIECE. I really enjoyed the philosophical/political aspects of this book because they happened to align with what I’m learning in one of my classes rn and so reading this book made me feel like such an intelectual LMAO
Like literally the first page had quotes from Rousseau, Locke, Hobbes, and Shelley who are all authors that I had to read for the class. And I’d also happened to have cited the same quotes for my essays?!

book is really good. I liked how we could get the story of Snow’s origin story. I saw the movie before I read the book and I definitely like the book better. It gives so much more details into how things played out. Suzanne Collins did a fantastic job of showing Snow getting more and more crazy as the book went on. I liked how she show us obsession vs love. Snow was obsessed with Lucy Gray, he didn't love her. If he had loved her he wouldn't have tried to kill her in the end of the book. Even though i was twirling my feet and kicking my hair about he, it did help me realize how evil he is. Which I think the movie didn't do as good a job with.
