Super sweet, silly, and precious. I did find it odd though, that the ending made it seem like the story was about all about toad, when it was really about mole and rat. I wish mole and rat got more of an ending lol

On the surface, the Wind in the Willows is a collection of charming tales following the lives of Mole, Rat, Toad and Badger, but more fundamentally, this book is about true loyalty and friendship. The four animals are not perfect. They each have their character flaws. They each let each other down and get things wrong. But they stick by each other and support each other anyway. They take each other as they come and bring out the best in each other. And they are all much better together. This book demonstrates what it truly means to be a good friend. Combined with some outstandingly vivid descriptions of the countryside, it is very easy to see why the Wind in the Willows has become a timeless classic.

I loved the whimsy and childlike wonder, but it was pretty boring and at times confusing to follow
