Might be the best one in this (extremely long) series so far. Honestly did not expect depth in nary a book in this series lol so that was a good surprise. I just love a sympath.

This book, like the last few, shared its pages with a multitude of storylines. I miss the early bools, where the vast majority of the book was devoted to the main couple's story.

Nevertheless, I *loved* John Matthew's and Xhex's love story. J.R. did them right.

I honestly do not know what to say first. Maybe OH MY GOD! Or Holy unbelievable-ness! This book was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. As far as damaged individuals go, John and Xhex give Zsadist and Bella a run for their money. And Xhex, Xhex is amazing, her levels and character are just beautifully done. And before this book, I didn't even *like* JM. Found him too whiny. Well NOT ANYMORE! Loved it. Loved it all.
Hot damn. From moment one I didn't even see this as a "romance" book. I saw it as a fiction book with some damn good sex scenes.
Plus you get the whole added tortured romance between Blay and Qhuinn. Fabulous. Simply fabulous.

What?? I have to wait HOW LONG before the next one?! *DEATH*

I feel like the stories of the BDB are so relatable (Outside of the Paranormalcy of it all). I appreciate how John knew how to avenge her. I won't spoil it for you, I 5hink this and Z's story are my favorites.
