Not my favorite. I was looking forward to the Darius/ John story but it was so drawn out it wasn't interesting. The Blay/ Quinn story alternates with the villain Lash highlighting Quinn the cruelest, most self absorbed villain to date. And I think we are supposed to be rooting for HIM and not the kind honest one.

Would have been a solid 4 stars but this was probably the shortest epilogue ever by this author (sad face), and for the hero to regularly frequent a kink club the kink/BDSM was very low. Lower than in some of her other books that don’t even mention kink/BDSM.

I’m enjoying this series and the characters.

My favorite of the BDB so far, I love Xhex!

Lover Mine
Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 8

I have done (and always will do) so much gushing about John Matthew that I don’t think I need to do it again. He is my favorite Brother (even if he is not technically one yet). I really feel for all Xhex goes through in this book and I’m glad she learns to let John in. the tension between Qhinn and Blay is palpable, I can’t wait until it explodes.

After a long emotional build-up, Lover Mine finally delivers the story I was waiting for — John Matthew and Xhex. And let me say… it did not disappoint.
Their dynamic is intense, raw, and full of tension. Watching two strong, emotionally scarred characters find their way to each other was incredibly satisfying. Xhex is such a badass — I absolutely loved her strength, her edge, and how unapologetically fierce she is.
The story really shines when it focuses on their journey. The side plots didn’t pull me in as much, but the emotional weight of John and Xhex’s storyline, their pain, trauma, and eventual healing made this book worth every page.

One of the books I've enjoyed the most in this saga. Can't wait to read Payne's one.
The story line between Xhex and John made my scream and cry so many times, one of the best couples in my opinion (Even tho I didn't like that much John lol!) So many good scenes, even the sex scenes were the hottest for me idk I CAN'T WITH MY FEELINGS.
Lash has being one of the best characters please, i like him!! hahahah And ...Darius...!o<---<
PS: I NEED QHUINN AND BLAY BEING TOGETHER ASAP AND THERE'S STILL 2 BOOKS LEFT.../jumps off a cliff/
