Very interesting book. Loved the mystery and puzzles. Didn't care for the MMC saving Anna after what she did.

You can’t help but be swept up in it.
There are two kinds of mystery novels: good ones which the reader has hope of solving on their own and bad ones which don’t give any reader the chance at ever figuring it out on their own.
In the second, there’s an annoying point where everything becomes too complicated for the reader to ever solve themselves.
This novel is the first to ever reach that annoying point and continue in such a convoluted way that it creates a secret third option where having no hope of ever unraveling the mystery becomes actually entertaining.

This was a cool concept, but the execution was very lacking. The main character was rather dull. I understand that he had no memory of who he was and was just trying to fight against the bodies he was in, but I think if we saw him lose that fight more, it'd be more interesting. Several of the big secrets just weren't really that juicy, and the writing made the whole thing felt like it kind of droned on. I really enjoyed the small insight into who Lord Ravencourt's secret passions, and I had hoped the author would let us see that sort of thing with each of the hosts, but nope. Maybe it was just included with Ravencourt because the author started feeling guilty about the massive amounts of fatphobia that he was stacking against that character which damn near almost made me stop reading all on its own. Also, the Aiden seemed equally bothered to be sharing a brain with Derby because he seems to have ADHD than because he's a rapist, which is absolutely ridiculous. I really thought I was going to love this book, and I am sorely disappointed.

this was W I L D. it was like a mystery within a mystery, it truly kept me on my toes and i was so invested in trying to figure out the truth. i definitely didnt expect it. the first half i kinda figured but then that curveball about the second murderer??? yeah i did NOT see that one coming.
