As someone who I participated in environmental student groups in college, I wish I would have had this resource to expand my viewpoint and activism. Really great introduction to diversifying the environmental justice movement.

In the time of Black Lives Matter and climate crisis activism like School Strike for Climate, this book is for students and activists yearning to understand how issues of the environment overlap with issues of race, identity, and indigenous rights. The broad and quick introduction identifies some critical intersectional issues and some responses to them, shares reflection questions and pledge statements, and is followed by a toolkit.
This is really well done. I read it as a library book, but after going through this, I am going to purchase my own physical copy for my library. This is great for my practice and for casual rich and necessary discussions around intersectionality and inclusion.

An incredible read that can be done in a day, solo or with a group. I love the questions at the end of each chapter for group discussion or self reflection. This is a MUST read for all activists, but especially (white) environmentalists.
