This text serves as an excellent introduction to what intersectional environmentalism consists of. The author works hard to show the work that has come before and places current movements in within the larger history. Thomas is also careful to note that she doesn’t speak for everyone and often provides perspectives from those in the community she’s discussing. The resources section at the end of this book is a gold mine. Again, this is a beginner text, but there are so many opportunities to grow your knowledge from here.
