Great premise and descriptions of life after the pandemic.  Wish they had explained the Dr. Eleven comics and its symbolism a little more.

i loved this so much that a few chapters in, i was already sad that i would eventually reach the end of the book and have no more access to this strange, fascinating near-future world. i couldn't put it down. the writing was beautiful and emotional, the apocalyptic scenario actually plausible (THANK JEEZ for the lack of zombies in this book), and the book-within-a-book vivid and intriguing.

I really enjoyed it. It's a little eerie but not like horror. Also kind of fitting for our time. But also different for our time.
