I will say however as a Fitzgerald lover (alas) I did absolutely adore the Fitzgerald anecdotes. Just incredibly hilarious. Though I felt back for Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds while reading it.
So, ultimately a lukewarm response. I'll probably read Hemingway again someday. But I'm a little disappointed that my first foray, about Paris which is always wonderful to read about, was somewhat lackluster. Though some of it is probably my fault for how I read it. Perhaps I'll pick this one up again in time and have a better appreciation of it. One can hope.
