3.8 AVERAGE

It took me a bit longer to get into this book that it did the first but once it got going I again had a hard time putting it down. I can't wait for the final book to come out.

Nothing really happens in this book...it's basically the same thing as the last book. It was just kind of boring.

this book was fun, just like the last one. i liked the addition of Calliope to the story. i don’t know if i liked this one as much as the first one though.
the whole Avery plot (if you know you know) made me a bit uncomfortable and we did not get to see enough of Rylin!!! she is by far my favorite (even though she can be a bit annoying, well they all can be) so i was a little sad we did not get much of her or her growth as a character
the other characters were fine and this is a great audiobook because it doesn’t need brainpower to pay attention.
the ending happened too fast so i hope it gets brought up in the last book

I need to read the next one ASAP

I am a sucker for this series. I enjoyed the read and am looking forward to the next! Will have to think some more eloquent thoughts soon.

The biggest disappointment in this year

*sigh* I REALLY wanted to love this, I really did but OH MY GODDDD. The first 200 pages (1/2 of the book) were amazing which I think is why it wasn't only one star and bumped it up, but after that... it all started to go downhill. It all started to feel so forced and I couldn't believe what was happening, seriously. I kept reading thinking it was going to get better but more stuff happened and started to annoy me more and more, at the end I couldn't take it anymore and skimmed the last 50 pages; it felt as if the author threw all what happened in the first book to the sea and rearranged all characters...it felt so sudden and forced.

All characters started making bad decisions with no rational thinking and made me bang my head against the wall.

The sole reason why I kept reading was crashed at the end and at that was my tipping point, I started skimming through the whole ending and was bored and not surprised. I was excited to pick up the third book coming up but now...I'm not sure. I'm so sad since it had the opportunity to become epic but missed!

I think I'm an unpopular opinion looking at the reviews and the average rating so it might've just been me but...I'm sad T-T
dark emotional mysterious tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

this book actually makes a point of acknowledging how wrong atlas and avery being together is
but since the first book i now know these characters well enough to be invested in them and i truly feel like im watching a tv show unfold within my brain and i havnt felt like this with a book before so i like it.

unsure who i want to be rooting for and the whole thing about people splitting up and then going to profess their love only to find their partner kissing someone else except really they wernt is getting annoying

this book forgot that mariel was a character and having her be killed off at the end is kinda annoying because i would have liked to have seen where she could have took the plot with her new found knowledge but oh well

Enjoyed this one as well. The ending was very shocking, once again.

4.5 stars

This series is definitely a guilty pleasure read for me. I don't usually like the convoluted tangle of relationships and drama, but somehow I am completely addicted to finding out what is going to happen next with these characters. Is the third book out yet? No. Darn, I guess I have to wait to find out what is going to happen after the events of this one.

ohhhhhh boy. i'm feeling kind of emotionally drained... a lot happens in these books. i don't know how katharine mcgee managed to pull it all together.

first things first, the d r a m a in this books is almost excessive. this book is frequently compared to gossip girl (tv series), and i know i said this in my review for the thousandth floor, but it really is a lot like that show. everyone knows something about someone else, everyone is out to get someone else, everyone expects something but gets another, and everyone is kissing everybody! it's like... it feels like the one thing that all of these characters are lacking is loyalty. except cord. we like cord. i digress.

the drama, i feel, gets a little excessive. every chapter something happens/changes. i guess that's not necessarily a bad thing, though... but mcgee can sure write a book!

never thought i'd say this, but i actually sort of like Leda in the end of this one. there are still things i don't like about her, but yeah, she's growin' on me. and as much as i really really don't like it, her and
Spoilerwatt
are actually perfect for each other.

my favorites are still rylin and cord. i'm rootin for em.
never liked calliope, though. i mean, towards the end, she's starting to be "okay" but...
