This was a pretty fast paced YA novella. Probably the most enjoyable out of the Skyward Flight series. The book is good for the age range. As the setting involves war the book does include non-gory violence and romance is appropriate for more conservative parents (only hugging and attraction). As far as the plot goes it is losing me with how powerful Jorgen is… well perhaps all of them are very “godlike” in ability, which I feel is a drawback to true character development. Skyward confronted the seriousness of war and did not shy from the consequences. With the most recent books I don’t feel that worried about the main characters.
