i have never read any other book like this so far. the concept was fascinating and i thought it was executed well for the most part. the only issue was i wish the ending was explained a little bit better. i did have to do some research to understand the ending which i did not think i should have to do. maybe i just missed something though.

This book is a wild ride (or should I say a creepy road trip?) It is a piece of art, it's smart, the writing is great, it explores deep topics while keeping you unsettled in an eerie environment, and then it turns out to be absolutely not what you were thinking, but somehow makes even more sense.

I watched a movie before and I knew "the plot twist" (the movie doesn't explain it well, so I had to ask the Internet and knew how it was in the book too). I don't know how it reads for the first time (without knowing how it ends), but I guarantee it is a whole new book when you read it a second time.

So, to get a full experience, be prepared to read it twice. Good news: it's only a bit over 200 pages.

wow. okay, so, over two years ago, a friend recounted this book to me, including its ending. later i started to read it but never finished; today i read it start to finish. even knowing the ending it was still so unsettling and creepy, which is commendable because i don't see myself as easily scared by books. and even as a horror/thriller, it had substance to it and leaves me with much to think about. recommend, though it's best to go in knowing as little as possible.
