After many miscarriages our main character Helen’s luck starts to look up as her pregnancy progresses. She goes to a local NCT antenatal class where she meets a rather off the wall fellow mum to be Rachel. Helen’s life then rapidly begins to go downhill once again......

I absolutely loved this thriller....an excellent debut from this author. Twists, turns, secrets and lies galore. Can definitely see this one being made into a TV drama.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, the publisher and of course author Katherine Faulkner for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I cannot wait to read more of your work.

I really enjoyed this book. The first half was kind of slow but the way she wrote the story ended up being so captivating. By the middle I couldn't put it down I just had to know what would happen. While it was somewhat predictable there were still some surprises that I did not see coming. Overall, great book!

Some of it was predictable. I didn't love all the switching of narration but it served it's purpose at the end. I didn't really sympathize with any of the characters until Rachel at the very end. Everyone else was pretty insufferable except Katie.

First of all I want to thank the publisher for sending me this advanced copy to review. This was an incredible thriller and I am VERY picky with my thrillers. The writing almost felt seductive and whenever I picked it up I had a hard time putting it back down. It was expertly crafted with excellent pacing and the alternating perspectives worked perfectly. Highly recommend!

I hated all the characters but saw myself in so many of their flaws. I also don't usually go for a book with so many unlikeable characters but they were each so real and raw. It really did keep me wondering while also answering questions the entire time. Also, the chapters are very short and laid out extremely intentionally so that it felt like I needed to read a physical copy rather than listen to the audiobook in order to truly take in what's the author intended (and that's makes me wonder hoes they translated that to the audiobook).
