If you can get past the beginning of this book, you may enjoy it as much as I did. It started off slow and I had a hard time getting into it. It does pick up, and while predictable in a couple of places, it has enough suspense and wow factor to make it a worthwhile read.

Helen Trope is expecting her first child with husband Daniel. Her brother and sister-in-law are expecting as well and have signed up for child birthing classes together. When everyone bails on Helen, she is forced to attend the classes on her own where she meets fellow mother to be, Rachel. The story unfolds to reveal past secrets and deceptions after one of the group is murdered.

An excellent, although sometimes difficult to follow read!

3.75 it was a little slow in the beginning for me but I’m glad I stuck it out. I love when I think I have it all figured out but really I have no clue at all.

Loved this book!
It had all the elements of that psychological thriller we all want and love with the great twist at the end. Looking forward to more books from Ms Faulkner for sure!

4 solidly fun and twisty stars! I can’t believe this is a debut. I can’t wait to read more from her!

3 and 1/2

3.5

3.5 stars - this was a fun and entertaining book despite some predictability

3.5 stars. This definitely kept me guessing. The biggest problem is that Helen is just the dumbest. Katie was very likeable tho.

Giving this one a solid 3, mainly because the first half of the book dragged so bad, it took everything for me to not DNF. Once it picks up, it gets pretty good and juicy, with a twist!
