If you enjoy this very contemporary style of mystery, books by Lucy Foley etc, you will probably enjoy this. It’s written well, has plenty of twists and turns. So many that even though the broad strokes are obvious the details keep you engaged. I enjoyed this book, but I feel overall like I just wanted more. Truly the only critiques I can level are subjective taste preferences, like these:

I just want more flourish! I want a little spice! There are so many intricate pieces to this and it’s impressive to see them laid out like this but in my opinion it didn’t take them into any realm I haven’t seen many times before. Also frankly I just think I am personally bored by the way that these popular mysteries where every character is either insufferable, evil, or pitiful. I think the exception in this novel being the Katie character. Anyway these are personal gripes really it’s a good book you’ll probably like it.
