Enjoyed getting to know the characters, I had so many ideas that were 1/2 right lol.
This psychological thriller had me hooked from the first page. It follows a small cast of characters and moves at a pace which leaves you desperate to know what is happening.
I do wish this book gave some kind of trigger warning. It was a fast read and kept me on the edge of my seat. Kind of predictable (if you regularly read thrillers/mystery novels). I did enjoy it though.
Talk about tense, dark, engrossing and suspenseful! The twists just keep coming and do not stop until the brilliant ending. Told by a few different characters, the reader is tantalized by glimpses into the past as well as strange goings on in the present. Debut author Katherine Faulkner kept me on tenterhooks the entire time, practically in a state of agonized anxiety in the very best way.
Married couple Helen and Daniel are preparing for the arrival of their child, renovating a gorgeous house and buying wee baby things. Daniel is an architect with work pressures and Helen has been ordered to take things easy after having several heartbreaking miscarriages. Left alone much of the time, she finds some solace in her friends including her sister in law, Serena, who is expecting a baby at the same time. At the first local prenatal class she meets outlandish Rachel who notices she is alone (Daniel couldn't attend). They start running into each other regularly and form an uneasy relationship.
Meanwhile, the past comes back to haunt and taunt and everyone is on edge, especially those affected by a past crime. Secrets hang like thick curtains and the characters are entangled in messy problems. Most of the characters are unlikeable but I need not like a character to enjoy a great book. In fact, it is refreshing that they are not all drippy and saccharine. The ending, though!
Thriller fans truly ought to seek this one out, well worth your time.
My sincere thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada and NetGalley for the privilege of reading this scintillating book! Hopefully for us this is just the beginning of a long writing career by this fabulous author.

I read this book in one sitting, it was so enticing and hard to put down! I went into this book knowing very little, but the cover and synopsis were so intriguing I decided to give it a go, and am so glad I did.
Katherine Falkner has done a fantastic job at setting an intense Scottish/English atmosphere. The description of Greenwich Park and the opulent luxury of the main characters was crafted well, making the reader instantly feel slightly put off by the narrators and setting a tone that things are being hidden from the reader right off the bat. None of the main characters felt fully reliable, and as the story continued to unravel it was hard to trust which tale of events are truthful.
While I was able to guess some of the twists, I think the author did a great job at weaving in multiple different subplots that kept the me guessing until the very end. I think this book will be great for fans of Ruth Ware. Highly recommend.
Thank you for NetGalley and the Publishers for providing me an Advanced Readers Copy of Greenwich Park.

This was an amazing debut thriller! It kept me in the edge of my seat and guessing most of the time. I really felt for Helen and the stuff she was going through. Can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!
2.5 - a good thriller with plenty of twists and turns, but because the characters were so unlikeable, it was really hard to care about them. It definitely picked up after the bonfire night party, but before that, I just found myself incredibly frustrated with the characters' actions, or should I say inactions, especially Helen!
