Even though I had only read this book for my cultural anthropology class I had still enjoyed it. I had found this book to be so powerfully written and it opened my eyes to the homeless. After reading this book, I can't look at a homeless, or anyone who is having issues of any kind, with ethnocentric eyes. I definitely want to make my part in helping the homeless society in whatever way I can.

Read for college
Intro, chapters 1-3, 5, 7, 9
Very interesting, i havent seen something that humanizes homeless people like this and really brings you into their lives and minds. I'd love to read the whole thing at some point.
At times the chapters were very long and dense with too much academic language thrown around which made it hard to get through. But the narrative parts were nice.

This was really eye opening. I didn't think I would like reading this book since it was for class but it really changes your perspective.
