One of my favourite reads this year. Inspiring and highly engaging memoir sharing very handy meditative and visualization techniques. Strongly recommend for anyone feeling lost and seeking inner peace.

Originally read the book due to BTS but it is now one of the most influential stories ive read this year. An amazing story about a neurosurgeon and his life.

One of the best books I have read. This can be classified into various categories but I feel that this is the best book on Manifestation.

This is a hard one to review despite my constant stream of updates as I read this. I guess I had too high of an expectation on the book (what's with Magic Shop and the general hype around this book). It definitely has its high, its low and neutral (or am I just apathetic about it?)
More often than not I find myself disconnected with Jim, despite his deep contemplations, and I don't deny that there are some good gems in this. It really is a self-help book guised in an autobiography with some neuroscience thrown in (which I'm surprised to find that I wasn't that interested in the way he wrote it and thus skimmed through). Sometimes some info were thrown in (literally no emotional attachment whatsoever) and I was like "wait what did you sayyyyyyyyyyy???" and wonder why he didn't mention it in the first place.
I was most of the time turned off by Jim's personality and writing but he did turn a bit around towards the end once he "realised his ways" and became more compassionate and what not. But again, I really think it's the writing at this point - I bet he's lovelier in person.
I've mentioned it before -- the title read more interestingly than actually reading the book. I didn't really know what I was expecting from the title but this ain't it.
Imma stick with listening to Magic Shop :)
