Great mystery for kids. I loved the art aspect and the push for kids to think for themselves. I would have loved this when I was 11 or 12.

One of my favourites as a kid! I loved the puzzles within the book, the friendship between Petra and Calder, the university campus setting, the factoids on art and architecture, and the discussions of patterns and coincidence throughout the book.

Reading this more than 20 (?!?!) years after it was published and I first enjoyed it was so much fun. I hold Petra and Calder close to my heart, and wanted desperately to be their friend when I was a kid!

Definitely recommend this on paper because the illustrations contain puzzles. :) Though the audio is also fun to listen to.
