I've read other things by Chuck Palahniuk that I enjoyed and I was hoping I would like this book just like his others. Throughout almost the entire book I was aggravated at my decision for choosing to read this book because I thought it was jumbled and confusing, but when I got to the last chapter and finished the entire book, it made so much sense and really changed my perspective on the book. While some of the characters were a bit annoying at times, they were mostly well put together, unique characters. The premise of the book itself is very unique, and it was not at all what I was expecting it to be. I want to read for of Palahniuk's work in hopes that they will be just as good as his others. Knowing what to expect from this novel, I will try to dissect the book mid-read.
This book was given to me as a gift because I was obsessed with the Gabby Petito case and she had this book in a lot of her Instagram posts. But damn. My head is killing now after trying to read this book. Only reason why I finished it was because I don’t quit reading books.
