I came across this audiobook by accident, and glad I did. This was such a cute story. Cory lost her best friend not too long ago, and decided to move back home to Chicago. Shortly after moving back to Chicago, the Met app appears in her phone by a mystery. Cory meets 3 of her exs again, and goes out with them. During all this, Corey meets a male Corey and they become friends, and start casually dating. Corey doesn’t take meeting the other Corey seriously, as it’s not from the Met app. Corey finds out her best friend designed Met, also they her and other Corey went to elementary school together, and had previously met! The Corey’s realize Met brought them together, and they fall in love. Recommend for a lighthearted cute read/listen

i found this book to be a really cute rom-com, but i didn’t 100% vibe with the fmc. at times, i found her annoying with her decision or thought processes. i liked the mmc Cory & was down bad for him the entire time, even when he was hella grumpy in the beginning. the conflict in the end wasn’t too bad, and i thought the resolution was cute! i also enjoyed the representation in this book: bisexual mmc, nonbinary side character, deaf side character, pansexual side character!!

This was a cute romance but nothing really to write home about. I liked all of the characters and there was definitely character growth but it was pretty predictable.

Very cute, loved it. A techy twist. I love how everyone of the main and side characters has a full personality.

Firstly a huge thanks to Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley for my e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Have We Met follows Corinne a girl who’s contemplating her next move in a big city or next temp job who has just just lost her friend to cancer. The book begins with every woman’s worst nightmare (a car breakdown) that in my opinion sorts of sets the genesis of the events that follows. She ends up at her cousin’s house Tiwanda for the night and wakes up to find a mysterious app ‘Met” on her phone. At this point in the book if I was Corinne I would have reset my phone completely *gasp*. The app comes with an invitation to reconnect with four past connections because one of them is her soul mate. So we follow her as she fumbles through ‘chance meet-ups’ to find the one. I loved how the book also didn’t merely just focus on her love life but we saw her relationship with her family , friendships and how she inevitably finds her career. Totally loved the book’s representation as her brother was deaf *smiley face emoji*. This was a good book as it made me laugh, warm my heart and believe that eventually loves does find you. It did end with a somewhat cliffhanger so I pray the series continues

This book brings a lot to question such as how we deal with grief, do we believe in soul mates, and how much of our parent's relationship we model subconsciously. Ultimately, this was an easy read. I loved the amount of diversity in the friend group. The difference of characters in just the core friend group. And I really enjoyed the idea of Corinne finding herself back in the city she grew up in years after leaving it. It was really nice seeing her start over again and finding herself while getting through her grief.
