It was pleasantly surprising, I found myself invested in it. The middle felt kinda slow to me and I definitely think it could have afforded to be shorter, but I think the ending makes up for what the middle was lacking. There was a lot, and I mean A LOT of domestic fluff, but it also never felt like it was taking away from the plot? I also liked the fact that it had an already established couple, so even though it is very much a love story it's a bit different from other stuff I've read. Also, because it's supposed to be a comedy, there were some things that I'm willing to overlook for the sake of comedy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA BEST BOOK IVE READ THIS YEAR AND FOR REAL THIS TIME. Cyan Wings is officially my most favourite author. I LOVE THE PLOT AND THE CONCEPTTT, LOVE THE EFFECTIVENESS AND THE HUMOUR IN THIS BOOK. EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOK IS SOOSOSOSOSOOSOS GREAT.
Especially the fucking characters!!!!!! Cyan Wings's characters always had one that is actually easy to be loved, but especially this book. The studio gang and the protectors are both charming in their own way. And oui oui, of course You Zhengping and Yu Hua are in another level. They are (inserting a thousand stars out of 5). ((((Especially Huan Zixu and Zhen Li my beloved /ehe/ /maybe i have a type)))
All the scientific related business is also very good and funny at the same time. As an engineering student myself all the science related plot is so interesting to read. Literally... This book has everything i love.

i've been reading nothing but danmei these days and thankfully none of them has been disappointing so far, including this one. love how both MC & ML are leading such a happy & sugary sweet married life despite their hidden identity which is the core point of the story. the side characters are actually given enough life & wit to make the whole journey easier to enjoy, and while the plot nearing the end got too heavily convoluted for my taste with its lengthy description of foreign concept regarding the System, world law & natural law, it's still a very much solid read particularly for the lovely & healthy depiction of the central relationship between MC & ML. and it's not often we get an overpowered MC who's cunningly smart & manipulative to some serious extent, for which i think it deserves a major part on the read, i'm honestly curious about his past journeys and how he came to be the way he is right now and would love a more meticulously detailed story for it. overall's an entertaining read nonetheless. i'd miss the studio gang so badly, they were the life of this webnovel for real!
