Ending felt flat

People who are obsessed with their jobs are so tedious.

This was far too long of a book for such little substance. The host of unlikeable characters only made this harder to get invested in.

Thank you Heidi Perks and NetGallery for the chance to read this book!

This book was just okay for me. I didn't find the main character Laura to be very likable. She just kept obsessing over Mia and how she stayed at the job. I felt for her in the beginning but she seemed very bitter. I also found the plot predictable, I didn't saw certain things coming. The big plot twist at the end was a surprise for me, I however found it unrealistic. The novel did keep me guessing enough about who started the fire to keep reading, I was curious. But overall, the book was just okay to me.
