I wasn't sure I could like Drew even more but here we are. 😆 I even am less annoyed with the FMC in this second book. The character growth in this is wonderful & I love the way they not only grew into themselves but their relationship. Even in all his toxicity I'm in love with Drew, & I'm glad he finally got his justice. There were a few surprises I didn't see coming but it wrapped it all up nicely & I am definitely going to be finishing out the other guys stories in the series bc I definitely want to know more.
After reading the wallflower I have been impatiently waiting for this book. The cliffhanger in that book left me speechless I needed more answers! You must read the wallflower first of course, this book begins right where we left off in book 1.
Drew is a walking red flag but he did grovel in this one as he should! But don’t be fooled although we saw how much he wanted Bel’s trust again he still had his limits of how nice he would be. His true nature was always there but for Bel he contained it a bit and yes I did love it.
Bel is reeling from all the information she found out and is trying to make sense of it all. She’s pissed at Drew and wants him out of her life. But there’s still that part of her that misses what they had and she can’t let that go. When Drew becomes persistent at seeking her forgiveness her walls start to break. She wants to let him back in but is afraid he’ll break her heart all over again. Without saying too much I loved Sebastian and Bel’s scenes. That development was great and Bel was really understanding Seb and he let her in.
The last 15% of this book was insane! We do get answers but not all of them. Which makes sense since Sebastian’s books is next. I can’t wait to see where his story goes because it was getting intriguing in the epilogues

DNF. Made it almost halfway through. The things I didn’t like about the first book continued consistently throughout this one.

This book was so slow, I was so close to DNF-ing it. Drew annoyed me and so did Bell at times. There were so many plot holes and the characters were so unbelievable at times. The writing was too flowery and I got tired of reading it but forced myself to get through till the end. It's a stark contrast to the first book which I actually did enjoy. Unfortunately this one let me down majorly. Also, the amount grammar issues in this is horrendous. Someone did not do their proper job of editing this.

The Wildflower (Oakmount Elite #2) is a dark romance.
This is a continuation of book 1 and what a wild ride it was! Another nonstop action packed read that left my jaw agape by the end. Maybell and Drew’s chemistry grows hotter as they fight for what they want. The plot twists and steamy scenes had me devouring this book. I can’t wait to learn about what happens in the next installment.
Renee Thorne and Ryan Stone did another great job with narration and the portrayal of these characters.
