July please get here soon

I love this series, and I’m so exited to read Sebastian’s story. Just like Maybel, I got eerie vibes from her and the way she spoke to Sebastian. I have a theory, and I’m excited to see if I’m right

I tried to stick through this series but my gosh, I cannot do it. This severely lacked editing and was so repetitive/boring. I swear they had the same conversations five times over and give me a break with the

Ok, after book one I had a lot of questions. So much crazy stuff was thrown at us. I devoured this book! It picks up right after book one and more things come to light. Bel is not the same wallflower she once was. Does she forgive Drew? What is going on with her family? This was so good and well thought out. It was emotional, raw, brutal and one big rollercoaster. And if you thought the ending of book one had your mind blown, you will go crazy at surprising things that happen towards the end of this book. I never saw it coming, that’s for sure. I hope as the other boys stories continue that we find out more. This book is less dark romance and more dark topics/scenes overall as we get answers and some sort of closure. I’m just glad that Bel and Drew finally get their HEA.

Spoiler below, and I’ll have to ask JL herself about this, but……

Towards the end there is a scene with Riley and Sebastian. Then in the epilogue she mentions an Elyse, but in the wording she makes it seem as if Elyse is Riley’s character based on her bringing up that kitchen scene. Did she change her name for Sebastian’s book? Is Elyse her real name? Or is she someone new? I’m so confused. She did that on purpose or it was a mistake. Anyone else catch that?

Freaking loved this duet

I enjoyed this book way more than the first in this series. It definitely dragged on a bit and could have done with being a bit punchier but I enjoyed it.

I was rooting for Drew so I’m glad he got is HEA.

ARC Review

Wow! Once again nothing amazing suspense filled book! I'm a lot more happier with this ending than I was with the last one, but we are once again left with many questions.

I really enjoyed this book! The maturity of Drew especially wasn't something I expected, but loved! Even if his intentions were in the right place, he messed up and he knew that. He was persistent and explained himself to get Maybel's forgiveness. He didn't completely bulldoze his way to get forgiveness like he did in the first one. He groveled and it was amusing to read. His desperation for Maybel's forgiveness & love was amusing, but so sad to read. Getting more insight's into his childhood

✨ I received this book as an ARC for my honest review✨

Wow! Once again, I was completely engrossed in this suspense-filled book! I must say, I found the ending much more satisfying than the last one, although it left me pondering over several unanswered questions.

Drew's unexpected display of maturity was a pleasant surprise for me. Despite his good intentions, he made some missteps along the way, like pushing Maybel to forgive him. Besides that, I truly appreciated his determination to make amends. Unlike before, he didn't resort to bulldozing his way to forgiveness; instead, he humbled himself and genuinely sought Maybel's forgiveness. His sincere efforts were both heartwarming and amusing to witness.

Maybel's growth and newfound assertiveness were equally impressive. She allowed herself to indulge in a brief moment of self-pity before gathering her strength and moving forward. I admired how she stood up to Drew when necessary, yet remained open-minded and forgiving. Although there were moments when I found her stubbornness frustrating, I was relieved to see her ultimately choose understanding and reconciliation.

I couldn't be happier that Drew and Maybel finally found the happily ever after they so rightfully deserved. After enduring numerous trials and tribulations, they both deserve to bask in the joy of being surrounded by loved ones.

Now, my anticipation is already building for Sebastian's book! I can't wait to see what adventures await him.
