It’s been a minute since I’ve read one of Ann’s books (because I can’t seem to make it to my TBR 😅) but I forgot how adorable and fun they are! There was such an amazing girl gang in this story, but I also love how supportive the whole Halstead family was of Jensen.

Briar Halstead is the most self-sufficient woman ever and I admire her so much for that, but I also admire her for being the kind and loving woman she was throughout the story. The banter between her and her girls was hilarious (the group chats had me rolling) and the banter with Jensen was funny and sexy, too. I love how she interacted with Caleb and how she immediately accepted him exactly how he was and never pushed him when he was struggling. Watching her support Jensen immediately was amazing, too, because she knew how hard it was for him to return to Bluebell, especially as a new dad, and she made sure to help him whenever she could. She and Jensen had similar pasts and it helped them connect and find their way to an amazing future.

Jensen Harding is a new father to 5 year old Caleb and, while Caleb was a surprise, I love how Jensen didn’t hesitate for a second to accept that Caleb was his son and go to bring him to live with him. Unfortunately for Jensen, he didn’t know how to handle Caleb’s grief, so he asked the Halsteads, his childhood friends and chosen family, for help. That led him back to his hometown of Bluebell, and into the cottage of Briar! It was hard at first for Jensen to watch Caleb bond with Briar and the Halsteads, because he thought it meant he wasn’t a good father, but I love that they all helped him see that he was a great dad and doing his best every day to be there for Caleb. Watching Jensen be patient with Caleb in this story and let him come out of his shell on his own while he supported him was perfect! Seeing the two of them get to know each other and bond was adorable and so beautiful!

This was such a great story and a great start to a new series by Ann! Briar, Jensen, and Caleb bonded so deeply and it was amazing to watch. I also love how Ann handled the brother’s best friend trope!! I loved this story so much and I can’t wait to see what happens next at Silver Saddle Ranch!

Thank you, Ann and Luna Literary Management, for providing me with an ARC!

Massive thank you to The Smuthood and Ann Einerson for the ARC!

Overall: I loved this story so much! I kept seeing teasers and I squealed when I got my ARC email! 🥰 I loved Jensen, Briar, and Caleb so much. I love sweet cowboy romances and this book delivers!!

Tropes:
🧡 small town
🩷 single dad x nanny
🧡 cowboy romance
🩷 brother’s best friend
🧡 age gap
🩷 no third-act breakup
🧡 nicknames
🩷 found family

Bookish Thoughts: This story is so incredibly wholesome! There are so many sweet, tender moments. There are definitely hurt/comfort moments, which I think fits really well with our three main characters: Briar, Jensen, and Jenson’s son, Caleb. They’ve all been through so much and seeing them all open up their hearts to receive love again is so heartwarming!

There were multiple times when I was tearing up throughout this story. It’s definitely going to pull on allll your heart strings! 💕

Briar was lovable from the first page you meet her. She’s been burned in the past and knows how to take care of herself. She is self-sufficient and doesn’t know how to ask for help. I loved watching her find her family. Seeing her support both Caleb and Jensen was precious!

Jensen has sooo much growth in the story. He gives off all of the stoic, city boy vibes. For a minute there, I was wondering how much growth we’d see. Watching him fall in love with Briar and exude love toward Caleb was beautiful. We love a rugged cowboy with a sensitive side. 🤠

Also, the epilogue 😭

Jensen learns he has a five year old son, Caleb, and decides to return to his hometown of Bluebell, Montana, to get help with raising him. Caleb just lost his mom and hasn’t spoken since.

Jensen and Caleb end up living with Briar, his best friend’s sister. Caleb takes an instant liking to Briar and she ends up becoming his nanny for the summer.

It was nice seeing Jensen and Briar fall in love, but it was also nice seeing Caleb heal and start to flourish. Briar’s quirky friends, her brothers and the cute farm animals made this a wonderful, low angst, sweet yet spicy romance.

🥵 Spicy chapters: 20, 21, 24, 28, 30
📚 Tropes/Themes: single dad, forced proximity, boss x employee, forbidden relationship, brothers bestie, city/country, nanny X single dad, no strings attached, just for the summer, coming home
👀 Dual POV 1st person
💔 Triggers: foster care, parental abuse, abandonment and death, mentions of: adoption & gambling addiction

💬 This was such a sweet, emotional and swoony story 🥹 It's low stakes and low angst which is perfect for me right now and it had so many of my favorite tropes: cowboy romance, single dad, brother's bestie. It was a really enjoyable read and made me tear up in several places at the end because ugh it was just so heartwarming.

However, what kept this from being a 5⭐ for me is that the writing was a little repetitive. The MCs continually referred back to their fears and observations about their relationship, Caleb, the farm, the future, etc and after a while I kinda wanted to tell at them WE GET IT 😂 I know it's needed to build tension/drama in the story but personally it was to often.

Along with that the fact that Briar is adopted just sorta cast a pall over the story for me, unfortunately. Hopefully one day authors will include adoption when listing triggers, but I did appreciate that the story mentioned allowing Caleb to make the choice if he wants her to adopt him in the future.

ARC Review: thank you so much to Ann Einerson and Luna Literary for sending me a copy to read and review.

Sweetness overload in the best possible way!

Jensen was so swoon worthy. He didn’t miss a step when he received a call that the five year old son he never knew existed was in foster care due to the death of his mother. He knew immediately that he needed to return to his roots and the family that took him in when he lived in Bluebell Montana. City turned cowboy in the blink of an eye. It doesn’t hurt that he has a dirty mouth and eyes only for Briar.

Briar was a child when Jensen left Bluebell. She had been taken in by the same family. When it’s revealed that Jensen and his son will be staying with her she vows to make sure Jensen and his son have everything they need.

Caleb, Jensen’s son hasn’t spoken since his mom
Died. It was beautiful to watch Caleb’s healing journey with the help of Briar and her family. Wrangled love was low angst and low drama.

Okay this was ADORABLE.

The fainting goat?? Absolutely ICONIC. 😂 And that girl gang group chat? Had me laughing out loud 😂

Half the time I was grinning like a fool and the other half I was blushing hard because that Ferris wheel scene was ON FIRE 🔥

Caleb was the sweetest little guy who melted my heart and seeing Briar fall for both him and Jensen felt so genuine and sweet ❤️

The first book in Ann’s new “Silver Saddle Ranch” Series!

TROPES:
🌻 Dirty Talking Cowboy
🌻 Single Dad x Nanny
🌻 Spice on a Ferris Wheel
🌻 Age Gap (24/32)
🌻 Brother’s Best Friend
🌻 No Third Act Breakup
🌻 Small Town Charm

My Review // My first true ARC did not disappoint!! I now have a new favorite book of Ann’s. This cowboy romance had everything.

Jensen: Dirty talking cowboy was right! He loves his dirty talk but he also loves being a dad which is one thing that made me fall in love with his character! Once he found out that he was now a father to a 5 year old boy, he didn’t question it, he went right into dad mode which was just… ugh 🥹

Briar: Strong, funny, witty, caring. I loved the way Jensen’s son Caleb just automatically felt safe with Briar and she did everything she could for him as well as Jensen. Their relationship growing through the book made me 🥹 I also just love her will to help everyone. Her family, friends, and new (but acquainted) people.

Caleb: Oh my gosh, what to even say about this kid. I just kept having cute little butterflies where he was concerned! His growth throughout the book was rewarding and I may have cried more than a couple times when he was involved.

Overall, this story was perfect. I loved the banter, spice (that ferris wheel scene, are you kidding me?! 🥵), and Bluebell, Montana coming to life. Can it be real so I can go?! I want a fainting goat named Ziggy, a horse named Lucky and a guy named Jensen… 🤠

So excited to read the next book in the series next year!

ARC Review
Wrangled Love by Ann Einerson is the first book in the Silver Saddle Ranch series. I absolutely love Ann Einerson’s books and Wrangled Love is no exception. I loved every second of this book. The storyline was well paced and I absolutely loved that their was no third act break up! The characters were all well written and super likable. I also loved the character development throughout this book. I am excited to see what awaits the other characters in the rest of this series.
Jenson literally has the biggest heart and seeing how much he does for his son made me instantly love him. I loved how respectable, honest, and protective of Briar. Briar was so relatable and I loved her character. I loved how both Briar and Jenson helped heal each other. Also Jenson’s son, Caleb, was adorable and I loved seeing him gain his confidence. These three were the cutest family and I loved their moments. This book had me rooting for these characters to find happiness. I highly recommend this book!
