Really good tie ins for Infinity Gauntlet. Manage to stand on their own as stories while also providing excellent extra storytelling for the main event series.

It's nice having the entire story collected in one place. The story itself is interesting and so vast in scope. I'd never read anything concerning the Silver Surfer before. I enjoyed the interweaving of all the different Marvel characters.

A couple of notes on the volume itself. One, it's so heavy that it's really unwieldy. I couldn't hold it for more than a couple of minutes without it being physically painful. It was even uncomfortable to set it in my lap, because the weight would dig the edges into me. I ended up propping it on a pillow for most of the time I read it.

The second thins is my discontent with the way the extra issues are included. This is just a personal preference, but I would have liked the second half of the volume, the issues that weren't part of the Infinity Gauntlet run, to be interfiled where they belonged chronologically. There were pieces of the story that would have been nice to get in order, rather than reading them after and trying to place where they fit in the narrative. Particularly since the narrative is so extensive.

It was ok. The first half tells the main story, and then a bunch of crossover issues with minor segments that loosely tie into the big event. I got bored after the main story.

Okay so i definitely understand part 1 better now that i read this, i know its weird lol. i liked this one much better. what a rad way to wrap this up. i take issue with how it ended with thanos but on the whole i really loved this. i'm hoping they take ALOT OF THE ELEMENTS of this one for infinity war part 2. and like how are they even planning to make stuff happen without adam warlock my goodness.
