I liked the book. I didn’t like Jasmine, because even as just a friend she was kind of shitty and seemed to take advantage of Rahul a lot. In the whole book I can’t remember them doing something that he considered fun, everything was for her. I do love that she realized her issues were holding her back and hurting others, and she went to therapy! 🎉 So few characters go to therapy for issues they can’t solve on their own, and I love that this author embraced that solution.

This easily loses half a star for putting the epilogue under what is essentially a spam paywall. You have to provide and verify your email, and check a box to agree to receive “marketing emails.” Such crap.

Very cute friends to lovers story!! The character development was so so good. Love how we got to see both Rahul and Jasmine grow and finally get to a place where they could be together. Love how Rahul is so understanding and patient with her because he knows she has a hard time getting close to people. Talia Hibbert is such a great writer some of the lines in this book are just absolute poetry omg. Only criticism i have is that I think the jumping time was a little confusing.

I am in love with Rahul! The characters are so fun and interesting and the sexual content is done well. Talia Hibbert also handles a classic friends to lovers trope and does it really well, exploring a lot more of the social changes in that type of relationship and giving her characters room to grow individually as well as together.

I’ve loved every Talia Hibbert book I’ve ever read. This book though, is on another level. It’s God-tier. It’s not as fluffy and goofy as some of her other books like The Brown Sisters series. It’s deep, emotional, and beautiful. The characters are lovable, flawed, and honest. I can’t believe it took me this long to read.

"He started the engine, checked his mirrors."Seatbelt."
"Yes, Daddy."
Rahul gritted his teeth and had mental word with his libido. No, she didn't mean it like that. Trust me, mate. Go back to sleep."

Excuse me sir. Rahul. Sir. Can we just talk for a minute? 🥺👉🏾👈🏾
I've never read Smut that had me gasping out loud and blinking back tears. I've also never read a Talia book I didn't absolutely love.😍  Nobody talks like Rahul, nobody commands like Rahul. My knees were weak!😭

4.5 stars 🌟

The steam, the banter, the conversations and the way Rahul just existed. My compliments to the chef.😌

TW: Parental neglect, abandonment and alcohol dependency.

Of all the Talia Hibbert books I've read, this one might be my least favorite. I'm not a huge fan of folks who are flighty and/or can't commit, so Jasmine was not a compelling heroine--and Rahul pined for her way more than I could stomach. I do, however, appreciate how Hibbert acknowledges that both behaviors aren't healthy, and the chemistry between the two of them is excellent (this book is STEAMY!).
