The perfect terrifying creature  book by Dean Knootz. I loved it!!!

I find incredible that I kept the "surprised pikachu" face all the time. I really liked this book, the suspense is maintained through all the story. Very different from other book from Koontz that I read before, so I didn't have good expectations about this one.

3,5

This book was the last Koontz I ever read. I was probably 10 or so when I read it. It scared me so badly, I slept hardly a wink the night I finished and threw up sometime in the night due to a lack of sleep.

I should likely reread it at some point now that I am an adult to see what scared me so deeply.

I really enjoyed the first few chapters of the book. Koontz builds a great creepy atmosphere that gives off the sense of some impending doom. There are a decent amount of characters in the book but they were well developed so it wasn’t hard to keep track of them. Unfortunately, there’s something about Phantoms that prevented me from really getting into it. I wanted to keep reading, but it took me a long time to finish the book and it dragged on in the middle.
