Great book! From the first chapter, it gets you roped in. Some creepy/spooky parts and some thrills. Recommend reading in the dark for best effect.

A really compelling concept.
Unfortunately the characters are poorly written and never truly develop. 
The plot is riddled with Deus Ex Machina as well.

This book had potential but unfortunately 70% of it was boring and unnecessary. Reading this book was like going on an exciting vacation and spending most of your time at the airport with flight delays. Someone would have to twist my arm to get me to read another book by Koontz.
