This a well-written book to read, it’s evocative imagery that sets the story with a magical environment. The island itself is a living, breathing, character.
The mysteries are slowly unravelled and though some things are a little predictable, there are some surprises as well.
However, the pacing felt a little slow, with not much happening and with some scenes and revelations that felt like an attempt to make it all over confusing.
