The fact that this book took me so long to finish should be a clue.... Just like the last book written by David Lagercrantz, it was very slow going for most of the book.
I'm not sure what made the book so slow going, but the pace of the book only gets going in the last quarter of it.
I would hope that the next book is able to break out from this formula and have a frantic pace from the start instead of near the end.
Still a good addition to the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, but I wish it world have been better.

There was nothing that made me want to pick the book up and it felt like it was a chore to get through. I am sad as I was hoping to love this
It kept my attention but felt like there was something missing. That something was Lisbeth Salander. She was a minor part in this book and she’s the best part of the series. It was like he swapped Lisbeth for Mickael which... wasn’t the best choice. Also, I struggled with two Roma characters being extremely good at music.. that’s a racist stereotype.
I had to stop by like page 20 the first time. Second try, I got maybe 20 pagers further. Now it is going back to the library.
