Despite some highly unrealistic scenarios that were also characteristic of The Girl in the Spider's Web, Lagercrantz' second contribution to the Millennium series is an engaging story, cleverly weaving together the events of the present and one and a half years ago. There wasn't enough Lisbeth or Mikael Blomkvist in my opinion, but the new characters were unique enough to keep me entertained.

I have enjoyed these additions to the Millennium series despite them being written by a new author after Larsson's death. They might not be AS good as the original trilogy but Lisbeth is such a fascinating character and I have had fun following her in more mysteries and thrillers.
