Was into this for the first half but then when it switches genres I wanted to toss it across the room. I loathe when books do that or are advertised differently than they are.

Audio book. Well, this was a great book. It falls just short of a 5 star for me only because around the 75% mark I felt a little bored. I feel like some things could have been left out and the book still would have worked great. There were definitely a few times I thought I had figured out what was going on and then I turned out to be wrong. The ending blew me away! It is hard to give much of a review of this without giving too much away. The story is told from different view points and different timelines, but it is not hard to keep up with. David begins an affair with his secretary but all the while, his secretary/lover, Louise, is becoming close friends with his wife, Adele. There are secrets and things just don't seem quite right, but who can anyone trust?

Shocking revelation! This is like CoHo's Layla but on steroids. Lol

It's so twisted. I'm just a bit relieved that I didn't really like any of the characters (they're all stupid) - because I'd be soooo pissed off with how things played out

Overall, I found this book to be pretty much a waste of time. I enjoyed the first half quite a bit, but by page 175, I recall wanting to quit. I just had no interest in these people's lives.

The ending was a twist and did totally surprise me, even though I flipped to the end and tried to spoil it for myself multiple times (I know!). I think that was a good twist and pretty creepy, but not the ending I was really hoping for. Also, pretty unrealistic that no one would notice the change in personality, and if you've read to the end, you'll know what I mean.
