I am not normally a fan of accidental pregnancy troupes but that was not the entire theme of this book and did not take over the entire plot which I really enjoyed. Holt had me laughing throughout this entire book. He has now claimed the spot of my favorite Brentwood baseball boy.

This was my least favorite so far. Things were a little too sunshine and rainbows until they weren’t. I mean Holt is amazing and sweet and all of a sudden he had an off day and he’s labeled angry and volatile. I mean come on. And Harmony’s going to walk and what? Raise a baby on her own because he got in one fight?
It wasn’t terrible. It just didn’t do anything for me. The constant sexual innuendos were cheesy too. It took a while for me to get into it and then I just didn’t love it.

I have been listening to The Strike Out while I was having THAT day. Not so good, bad, really really bad day. Like many book lovers, books are the only thing grounds me where universe works against me.
It helps.

The Brentwood series starting with good promosing story and characters. The Strike Out does not really strike out. It fell flat. I do enjoy listening to the first date. Their banter is hilarious. Then sadly it does not pick up from there.

Anyway... it is weekend now here. And I feel dizzy with today events. I really hate going into weekend feeling like shit.

Of all the Brentwood books I've read so far, this was my least favorite. I enjoyed both the hero and heroine, but there wasn't enough conflict or character arcs for me.
