This book is so profound, filled with questions and leaving you with more. Incrediblly written and effortlessly translated. This is one for the history books, one that makes you question the mere core of what it is to be human, and the impact of female friendship, comradery and honestly when all else is desolate.

Very nearly a perfect book. The only reason I subtracted from my rating is because sometimes I found the “I know this thing that I have never seen before, because the women have told me about it” a bit far fetched. 

But ignoring that, this book is just something else entirely. Full of existential questions, and not very many answers.
