Wow! What a fun and super read, thoroughly enjoyed this one and of the three I have read so far, this is top of the list. I think I will be hard pressed to better this.

The story was excellent and quite amusing. Death is a superb character and the end did choke me a little.

And also added cuteness with the Death of Rats (and fleas).

I really enjoyed the parts following death himself but the plot following another character(which I would have called the side plot if it didn’t feel like it took up the majority of the book) was still good but not as good. I would go “ugh” when it took the focus away from Death.

2 1/2 stars.

It's fun to revisit earlier Discworld entries to see how the characters and their author have -and haven't- changed. This books covers a lot of thoughts on mortality, life and death, and Death, but does not dip into being maudlin. As always, I appreciate when Pratchett uses themes of seasons and harvest to explore deeper truths. And the wizards weren't even too annoying in this one!

deeply love Death in this book. probably my favorite Pratchett I've read. good quotes all over this. i found the climax of the whole Wendell Poons story underground with all the cars hella confusing and uninspiring tho. overall a brilliant book

I liked this book, but it nearly got me in a slump. At first, I really enjoyed the fact that there were no chapters, the book felt like a long short-story, and I love short stories. Unfortunately, about halfway through, it got too annoying not having clean places to stop reading, so I just reading altogether. Eventually I picked it back up and got it over with.
Onto the book itself, I liked the story, I loved Death and I really enjoyed the humor and the philosophical arguments sprinkled all throughout the book. Unfortunately, its length was a drawback: too long for a single seating, too short to have chapters (apparently)
