Do you know how horrible it feels to go from enjoying a second chance romance to suddenly witnessing a verbal and physical altercation resulting in a rape scene between the two main leads?
I’m no stranger to some of the horrible old tropes previously used in Yaoi manga, but this is a fairly new title, clearly set in modern times and this scene appeared to come out of nowhere.
Taichi, who until this scene was very calm and collected character, turns into a violent abuser within the span of 4 pages and ruins this story. I honestly hoped Naoto would not forgive him and get as far away from him as possible- how can you love someone who can do this to you?

I totally borrowed this from my friend while she was distractedly reading one of her other manga. It's cute, funny, and totally worth the time.

While the art is gorgeous, I hated the book. Predictable, flat, two-dimensional characters. Even ignoring the drunken hookup that opens the book, this story is still deeply problematic, the worst part of which is the rape scene that is played off later in the book as if it was just a lovers’ quarrel.

Great art buuuuuut... A very unhealthy relationship. Some scenes of dubious to no consent that shouldn't be translated as a loving or consensual. :(
Cute little romance, i don’t really feel the need to continue with it tho
This was supergood and surpassed my high expectations. A story about two guys who were together in high school, but then split up because of a lack of communication. It takes them a while to get things right the second time. This is a really well done BL manga that captures the insecurity that comes with relationships where there isn't marriage as a final goal. I really loved this.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yeah we are all thinking it. For the modern western audience, I can completely understand that this was unexpected. For anyone who reads a variety of self published doujin, especially from various stores in Akiba, a lot of the penned subjects are very dubious. So depending on what type of content you consume, and what you are expecting ( which I was not expecting when picking this up ) that was a surprise. But you do have to sit back and think about how toxic these two are in the entire story, and do not communicate at all. It’s not romantic in a sense but moreso a dysfunctional companionship.
